H. Spencer Of Thi* City.Shell Rock, Feb. 17*—’Special to Reporter—Sherman Vannice of Waterloo, died here yesterday afternoon after a lingering illness of consumption. He was only twenty years of age, but had long been a sufferer from the disease which caused his death. The young man lost his mother, Mrs. T. H. Spencer, a few weeks ago, and since that time has been at the home of Mrs: M. Garner in ShellHock, where he has been cared for.The young man is a step son of Tom H. Spencer, a contracting carpenter residing at' Waterloo. Mr. Spencer lost his wife December 26, 190*, and in drder to better car© for the son, brought the young man to the Garner home.
