Tlhodoi McCurfnin, daughter cl1 John and Esther McCurtahi was born hi Champaign county, Ohio, November 6, 1833 and dioil at her home in Brook, Indiana, February. 3, 1922, age 8S years, 3 months, jShe removed with her parents to • Tippecanoe county, Indiana in the, year of 1837, then to Jasper county in 1S3J. In the year of 1«S4 she was married to Job English, who died on January 29, 1921. Of the three children horn Ic* this union only one survive the death of their mother, Mrs. Curtis Carpenter of Cadi*. Ohio. There are 21 grand* children and several great grandchildren and it host of friends to mourn her loss.In early life she war. converted and know the joy and happiness of jslns forgiven. She was a woman •of sterling and robust Qualities, pos-raesslrg a remarkably clear mind and | intellect In her last days cared for I tenderly by her grandson, she past into a tranquil and reconciled state of mind and the transition frcm this life to the grcai beyond was quiet and peaceful.The early pioneers are passing away very fast and soon the deeds find heroisms of these wonderful people will be the history of the state and nation.
