SULPHUR — Services for Doyle Edwin Sharp, 39, will be Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. in the First Baptist Church of Sulphur. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Don Bergeron, Elgin, and Chaplain Frank Page, Lawton.He was a retired warrant officer with the U.S. Army and had been highly decorated while in the Army. He was a helicopter pilot. He was injured in 1970 in Viet Nam.He was born, Oct. 15, 1934, in Gene Autry. He died Monday in a Fort Sill hospital. He lived in Sulphur until after graduating from high school when he enlisted in the Army. He was a member of the Baptist church.He and Hildegarde Margaret Buhrig were married, Sept. 14, 1957, in Berlin. Germany.Survivors include his wife, Hildegarde. of the home: one daughter, Connie Jane: one son, Michael Jay, both of the home: his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Sharp, Sulphur, and two brothers, Louis. San Antonio and Everett, Jefferson, S.C.Bearers will be members of the U.S. Army.Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemeterv. Dunn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
