Stat? of Fairbanks Township Joins in Pretty Affair at Home of One or Number. Fairbanks, Dec. 24--Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Whitlock entertained the teachers of Fairbanks Township at their new home in honor of John W. Bowen, retiring trustee. The rooms were attractively decorated in Christ mas tones, and large quantities of mistletoe were used. Mrs. Whitlock was assisted in serving a three-course dinner by Misses Owen Ribbs and Ag nes Cushman. The teachers of the township are L. A. Childers, Misses Edith Glenn, Glenn Nesbit, S. Helen Jewett, Goldie Ken dall, Lucretia Slunt, Messrs. ©. D. Johnson and Whitlock. Other guests were Mrs. Childers, Mrs. Bowen, Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Welsh, Messrs. Paul Dix, A. E. Harrison and Emery Drake. The teachers presented Mr. Bowen with a silver shaving set. Mrs. Bowen was given a Salad diss. Mr. Bowen expressed his appreciation for the support the teachers had given him in their work, which is somewhat hampered by adverse conditions. The first meeting of the stockholders was held Tuesday afternoon, at which time the following offeers were elected: P. L. Hoover, president: El mer G. Hoover, vice-president; Tester Hoover, secretary, and Nolen C. Hoo ver, treasurer. The directors include all of the above named officers, with Ann T. Hoover, the other member of the campus. Several weeks ago Philip L. Hoover and Noli C. Hoover filed suit in the Sullivan circuit court for dissolution of partnership, and for a receiver. This sui was dismissed Tuesday, on motion of the plaintiffs —Carlisle News.
