Jewell W. Uselton, 69. 4 retired pharmacist, died at 12:45 a.m. Tuesday following a brief illness. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Malcolm Stone Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Chester Gleason, pastor of the First Christian Church, officiating, Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery. Prior to his retirement Mr. Aselton was part owner operator of The Ritz Pharmacy. Born in Plano on Jan. 21, 1903 he had been a resident of Gladewater for many years and was a member of the First Christian Church. He made his home with his wife Geraldine at 809 Wood Street. In addition to his wife he is survived by a son, Kenneth of Baton Rouge, La.; a daughter, Mrs. Carol Ann Muckleroy, White Oak; and six grand children. Pallbearers for the service were Charles Wilson, Sam Moore, Leon Waggoner, Richard Causey, Dale Barton and Bob Hill. Honorary pallbearers were B. C. Falls, Jake Crouch, Willie Hagen, Mike Reynolds, and the Mens Sunday School Class of the First Christian Church.
