The citizens of Now Haven through their school trustees, Messrs. Dougal and Bartholomew, have made an excellent choice in the selection of Mr. E. C. Crawford, of our city as Superintendent of their schools. Mr. C. has received a regular course of instruction at our High School and is every way fitted for the position. A large addition has been made to the High School building of their place, and everything provided and fitted up in a neat and tasteful manner. New and comfortable seats, with the usual school furniture having been added until their High School will compare favorably with our own. The School will be organized in three gradefl, the first or highest directly under the Superintendent, the Intermediate undor Mr. D. M. Leur and tho Primary under Miss Dickinson.The schools will open on Monday next, under the most favorable auspices. We sincerely hope that they will meet with that success and encouragement from the citizens which they will undoubtedly deserve.
