Mr. and Mrs. William Hellicut of Riverdale visited Mr. and Mrs. Priest Sunday. Earl Platt left for Alma Tuesday morning, where he expects to have employment. Malcolm Walker, of Riverdale spent Sunday of last week with his father HH. W. Walker. . Mr and Mrs. William Marlin, of Lansing spent last week with Mr. and Mrs. David Marlin, J. T. Bridwell, of Alma, called on his brother, Robert, Sunday while on his way to Rock Lake. Mrs. Mary Ryan, of Chicago came! Monday to of Thanksgiving with her brother, Fred Harris. The Thanksgiving social at the school house Tuesday evening was a success all the way through and a good sum of money netted, Mr. and Mrs. Vet Woodard, of Grand Rapids came Tuesday morn ing to attend the funeral of his sister Mrs. Ed. Swarthout in Perris. Mrs. A. D. Ballon went to Edmore Wednesday morning to attend the wedding of George Gee, of Detroit, and Miss Jane White, of Edmore. Friends of Mrs. Chas. Rhodes are glad to hear that she is rapidly re covering from an operation at Brain ard's hospital in Alma Sunday, Nov ember 23. Mr. and Mrs. Amos Smith enter tained their children and grandchild ren Thanksgiving, in honor of Mr. Smith birthday, some coming from Detroit, Grand Rapids and Perris, Charles Rhodes left for Sheridan Monday morning. Charles Rhodes spent Friday with his wife in Alma, John McGaw was home from Sher idan over Sunday. C. O. Sherwood was in Brecken ridge on business Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. George Reed spent Friday in Alma and Edmore, Mr. and Mrs. Jay Tottingham, of Langston, were in town Saturday. Mrs. Ben Elliott has been ill the past week, but is beter at this writing, Miss Gladys Harris spent Thanks giving with her parents north of the town, Mrs. James O'Connor spent her Thanksgiving with her mother, Mrs. Co. M. Guild. Mrs. Lawrence Tupper and child ren spent Thanksgiving with Mr. and Mrs. Jolly Hare, of Ferris. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Mallory enter tained a brother and his wife of Blan chard over Thanksgiving. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Manley spent Saturday and Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Scott, of St. Louis Clarence Caris and Fae Throop, spent Thanksgiving at the home of, Mr. and Mrs. Goodrich of Ferris, Mrs. Ora Nickerson and children of Greenville returned home Sunday evening after spending Thanksgiving with relatives, Mesdames Beach, Marlin, Reader, Murphy and Caris attended the fun eral of Mrs. Ed Swarth out of Fortis, Wednesday. Miss Lazel Stites returned to Bay City Saturday evening, after spend ing the past two weeks with her par ents, Mr and Mrs. Delbert Stites. Mrs. L. M. Freeman and daughter, Millie, returned from Alma Saturday after spending Thanksgiving with her daughter, Mrs. Wm. Barrett and Mrs. Dan Zinn. Mr. and Mrs. David Manley were business callers at Alma Saturday. David Marlin accompanied his brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Wa. Marlin as far as St. Louis on their way home to Lansing. They visited a sister, Mrs. Wm. Scott while in St. Louis, Wilbert Courser and Miss Eva Stites and Vern Hartman and Lenah Courser were married at Stanton on Wednesday, November 26. From there they went to Grind Rapids, re turning here Friday evening. Their friends wish them happiness on their journey through life. Seneca Sly and wife and Mrs. Edna Powers ate Thanksgiving dinner at Mrs. Mattie Pratt's. Harry Marvin and wife of Alina spent Thanksgiving at her mother's, Mrs. James Toy's. Something over $10 was taken in at the baked goods sale given by the M. E. ladies last Tuesday. Guy Stoughton, wife and son, of Sumner, ate Thanksgiving dinner with his mother, Mrs. C. A. Pratt. Miss Sarah Von Thorn returned from St. Louis Sunday where she spent her Thanksgiving vacation. Charley Sly and wife entertained Herbert Lewis and family and Mr., and Mrs. Orlando Sly Thanksgiving. Mrs. T. J. Blair and son Carl, Mrs. Kiffie Hoxie and son Jeff, ate Thanks giving dinner at O. M. Blair's in Fer ris. Misses Cecile Ward, Greta Hoxie, Tressie Dailey, Dessa Hicks, Inga Conner and Carl Blair and Ralph Martin were all home from their re spective schools. Allen Winters and wife, Mrs. Fick Hill and sons, Leo and Kenneth, and Debert Wicks and family enjoyed dinner with Mr. and Mrs. Will Pratt! Thanksgiving.
