Reception Held For 25th AnniversaryMr. and Mrs. Bernard Merfeid were honored at a reception Sunday afternoon, November 23rd, lor their 25th wedding anniversary with their three daughters as hostesses. The reception was held in the Parish Hall of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Roseville.Frances Kelly and Bernard Merfeid, both Qf Marble Rock, were married in St. Mary’s Catholic Church at Roseville on November 23, 19*4. His sister, Anne Kobberman of Fort Dodge, and her brother, Earl, now living at Rockford, Illinois, were the attendants. Rev. Paul Kirchoff, pastor of the church at that time, officiated.Mr. and Mrs. Merfeid have made their home on a farm east of Marble Rock for 25 years. They are the parents of three daughters, Kathy, Jean and Pat, aU married, and two sons, Dan and Peter at home.The hostesses present with their families were: Mr. and Mrs. Lee (Kathy) Olson, of St. Paul, Minnesota; Mr. and Mrs. Bob (Jean) Patton and Jody; and Mrs. Mike (Pat) Weiss and Carey of Charles City. Mike Weiss is training in a Marine Reserve Camp in California.Mrs. Merfeld’s wedding colors of pink and silver were used in the decorations and at the serving table. Mrs. Anne Kobberman of Fort Dodge was in charge of the guest book. Coffee, punch and decorated wedding cake were served by the hostesses.Present were Mrs. Merfeld’s brothers, Mr. and Mrs. Rupert Kelly and Karen of Garner, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Kelly of Ayrshire and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Kelly of Marble Rock; and Mr. Merfeld’s brothers and - sisters, Jlr. and Mrs. A. J. Merfeid of Waterloo, Mrs. Christine Staudt of Stacey-vilie, Mrs. Anne Kobberman of Fort Dodge and Mrs. Louis Staudt, Mr. and Mrs. Don Krambeer and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Merfeid of Marble Rock.Others present were Father Fred Rudolph S.V.D. of Epworth; Mr. and Mrs. Roger Merfeid and family, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Merfeid, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Schmitt and Mrs. Edith Schmitt of Rockford; Mr. and Mrs. Leo Stattleman and family of Clear Lake; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Merfeid and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Klunder and family of Nashua; Mr. and Mrs. George Olson of Hudson; Mrs. Clair Weiss of Charles City; and Rev. Vincent J. Simon of Seraphia IThlenhake, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Kelly and family, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Staudt and family, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Staudt and family, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Ruzicka, Mrs. Rill Ruzicka. Standi, all of Marble Rock.A surprise celebration was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Merfeid Saturday evening in honor of their 25th wedding anniversary which was Sunday, November 23rd.A pot-Iuck dinneer was brought in hy the guests; Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Merfeid of Waterloo, Mr. and Mrs. Leander Merfeid of Rockford, Mrs. Christine Staudt of Stacyvilie, Mrs. Ann Kobber-niann of Fort Dodge, and Mr. and Mrs. Don Krambeer, Mrs. Luis Staudt and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Merfeid of Marble Rock.Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Lee Olson of St. Paul, Minnesota, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Patton and Jody and Mrs. Mike Wiess and Carey of Charles City and Dan and Peter Merfeid.The couple were presented gifts for the cccassion.
