George Edgar Nesbitt, in Hiko from the effects of paralysis after un illness last in# but one Week.Funeral services were held at the Nesbitt home Sunday. August 2’». at :{ :•» n. m.. The services were attended by nearly the entire population of the valley.The deceased was born In the town of Coonainere, county Monahan. Ireland. April 26. 1 #59. She was the wife of George Nesbitt, a pioneer merchant of Lincoln county for many years who passed away In Goldfleld May 28. 11108. Together the couple settled in Ploehc In I he early '80s. whey they reared their family. They resided In Ploche until about 1806. when they took advantage of the Detain nr excitementL of * Is IeoadayCOIlatt ra'IforroalleeSaland moved to that thriving mining•htown. They remained In Dclamar un til the decline of th«* gold camp. Mr. Nesbitt then going to Goldfleld and entering business, also purchasing a line home In San Jose. Cat., where Mrs. Nesbitt made her home in order lo give the children the advantage *»f city schools. This home is still retained by the Nesbitt family.After the children were well advanced In school Mrs. Nesbitt rejoined her husband In Goldfleld. After Mr. Nesbitt's death the deceased again moved to California, where she received medical attention at Bishop's sanitarium in Pasadena for two years.Her health falling about a year ago she came to the Nesbitt ranch to make her home with her son and his wife and two children.Letltla Nesbitt was known by all as a devoted wife and an ideal mother, not only to her own but also to her sister's four children, whom she raised as her own after her sister's death. She was prominent in lodge circles, being a member of the Eastern Star: was an enthusiastic worker In the church and was at all times willing to lend a helping hand. The members of her family at distant points were no-tilled of her Illness and death flut were unable to reach Hiko before the funeral.Mrs. Nesbitt Is survived bv four daughters and two sons. They are Mrs. A. U. Flemming of Detroit. Mich.: George Edgar Nesbitt of Hiko, Nev.; Miss Martha B Nesbitt and Miss Fannie I*. Nesbitt of Berkeley. Cal; Joseph J. Nesbitt of San Francisco; Mrs J Philip Holcomb of Woodland. Cal ; also bv a sister Mrs. Margaret J. Nesbitt of San Jose..
