Ben Ross of Pocatello was nominated by acclamation as candidate for gov ernor at the Democratic state conven tion here today. Ross received the un animous nomination after Asher By Wilson of Twin Falls thd withdrawn from the gubernatorial race and asked united support for the Pocatello mayor Selection of Ross followed nomina tion of Joseph Tyler of Emmett, candi date for United States senator to op pose William E Borah, who was nomi nated by the Republicans yesterday. Compton White, farmer and mine operator of Clarks Fork, was nomina ted for congress from the first district and George H. Fisher, insurance man of Bancroft was named as the candi date from the second district.
