Mrs. Arvil Bledsoe, the former Miss Faye Cook, was guest of honor Friday evening, August 20, when Misa Rachel Joyce and Misa Marilyn Cook, cousins of the hon oree, entertained at a miscellane ous shower given in the home of Mrs. Joyce's mother, Mrs. Sam Joyce. Arrangements of late summer flowers were used throughout the home. Mrs. Bledsoe received many lovely gifts and was also presented with a corsage of white gladioli. Bingo and various party games were enjoyed with prizes being awarded the winners, after which refreshments were served to ap proximately 25 guests, basket. Mrs. Hodges is the former Miss Mary Ann Smith. Born to Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Milton Creed of this city, route 4, a daughter, Frankie Ann, weight 6 the 1002, on August 25. Mrs. Creed is the former Miss Connie Sue Anderson.
