Five customers at the Jamaica Coffee Shop early this morning escaped injury when a new Oldsmobile crashed through the shop’s plate glass front and hurled three of them across the room. Scottsdale police charged the driver, Robert Clark Brothers, 43, of 321 S. Tonalea Way, Scotts dale, with drunken driving. The crash caused about $3,000 damage to the coffee shop; $500 to the car. Witnesses told police Brothers was parked out side the building for some time with his engine run ning. Police said Brothers put the car in gear, lost control, and crashed through the front of the build ing after jumping the curb. Pushed across the room were: Samuel A. Car lise, 536 E. 3rd St.; David M. Connors, 507 E. 4th St.; and Paul Smuda, 1843 E. Meadowbrook, Phoe nix. The car stopped a foot and a half from the booth where Wayne Dillard, 6931 FE.
