Miss Jane Hays, a native of El Paso where she graduated from Irvin High School and the University of Texas at El Paso, is to be the new choral director for Burnet High School and In termediate. Miss Hays had ex perience at Ysleta and El Paso before accepting the Burnet po sition. She recently added the Master of Music degree from North Texas to her accomplish ments. Miss Hays will also have the intermediate band and be the sponsor of the Highlandettes. Mrs. Susan Kleinhans, wife of Burnet High School Coach David Kleinhans, will teach kinder garten at Bertram Elementary School. Mrs. Kleinhans is a recent graduate of Angelo State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. Mrs. Kleinhans, who has done considerable substi tute work in the Burnet system, is looking forward to her first teaching assignment Mrs. Mae F. Cottrell, a rec ent graduate of Bethel College of McKenzie, Tennessee, will be teaching remedial reading in Bertram Elementary. Marie Cottrell is a native of White ville, Tennessee; she is mare ried to Rev. Wiliam Cottrell, minister of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Ber tram. Rev. and Mrs. Cottrell will be residing in Bertram. Mrs. Margaret Cross, who has taught in the Abilene School System for the last ten years, will have special education classes in the Burnet Intermed iate School. Mrs. Cross and her husband, who is a lawyer, re cently moved to Granite Shoals. Mrs. Cross is a graduate of North Texas State University. Mrs. Gwendolyn Cox, wife of Rev. Mike Cox of the First Bap tist Church of Burnet, will be teaching chemistry in Burnet High School. Mrs. Cox gradu ated from Central High School in Memphis, Tennessee, and gained her B. S. degree from Memphis State University. While she has never taught full time, she has done substitute work at Burnet High School. ** Mr. Ronald Patterson, a for mer teacher at Burnet High, will be returning as Burnet Intero mediate School science teacher.
