SEVERAL CHANGES MADE IN TEACHING FORCE BY TRUSTEE WOODY. Trustee Earl N. Woody has selected the following as teachers of Franklin Township schools for the term be ginning September 3. Darlington—Chas. R. Hertenstein, Superintendent; Miss Margaret Wees ner, Principal; Miss Clara Woody, Latin; Jarvis Todd, Mathematics ; Miss Julia Miller, Commercial; Rub inette Rice, Domestic Science; Ray Bowman, Manual Traing, Agriculture and Athletic Coach; Howard Lewis, Junior High; Edwin Miller, Grade 6; Miss Edith Shaver, Grades 4 and 5; Mrs. Naomi Peterson, Grade 3; Miss Chloe Burgin, Grade 2; Mrs. Maye Hunt, Primary. A teacher for music and art has not yet been chosen since the resignation of Miss Lois Ayres on account of ill ness. Mr. Todd is a Waveland man, Miss Rice is from Mellott, Mr. Bowman from Windfall and Miss Miller from Crawfordsville. Mr. Lewis resides east of Darlington and Miss Shaver near Shannondale. The remaining teachers live here. The school is looking forward to an exceptional year in athletics as Mr. Bowman is considered the best bas ketball coach in the county. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Barger will teach again at Highview and Vernon Purdue and Miss Bessie Burk will be at Shannondale. County Institute will be held at Crawfordsville the week of August 27 and school will begin the following Monday, September 3.
