Suspicion by Carter Baker, of the Cammer Dry Cleaning Com pany, this morning of two men who attempted to cash a check for $28 over the signature of Har ry F. Byrd, Jr., at the cleaning plant led to their arrest by Pa trolman J. C. Ritter and Capt. FP. M. Punk of the local police. The two men, who are believed to be brothers, are Roscoe Lam bert, 32, of Bluefield, W. Va., and Cecil Lambert, 38, of Rocky Gap. Va As Baker had refused to cash found them and made arrests at different places. Roscoe while Cecil Lambert was appre hended at the corner of Loudoun and Piccadilly streets. They are now lodged in the city jail So far as is known, the two were not successful in cashing any check in Winchester though re ports are that they cashed a check in Middlebury yesterday. They are wanted in Pairfax for grand lar ceny. Cecil Lambert will have the additional charge of illegally wearing an honorable discharge button filed against him.
