MUSIC ASSEMBLY Each year before the small groups and soloists go to contest, they appear before one of the toughest and-, iences, their own high school. Everyone seemed to really enjoy the program and it: gave the contestants1 a chance to perform before contest. Marilyn Sadler, Bill Hfppen, Bill Kelson, Gene Gimer, and Marilyn Kissen played instrumental solos. Groups participating were brass sextet, sophomore and junior brass quartet, sax quartet, girls sextet, trombone quar_ tet, i woodwind - trio, trumpet quartet. Vocal-soloists were Karen McGowan,; Marilyn Kissen, Dorothy Harris,: Carolyn Kurfman, and Jan Hetmke. The appearance before the assembly must have done some good since everyone did so well in the-contest at Britt JUNIOR HIGH The Junior High went on a skating party' Wednesday, April 14.
