We loose a good citizen. ...Frank Linke has moved into the house Noble Butler vacated. Mr. John Burns and Miss Rore Butler were married at Taylorville Sunday eve by Rev. E. M. Chambers. Mr. Burns is a telegraph operator for the Pennsylvania Co. at Memphis, but his home is here. Miss Butler is a sis ter of Recorder Butler. The wedding was a quiet affair....Dr. Bozell spent Sunday near Qld Union....Pancake Bros. had a break down with their huckster wagon and had to rise one trip this week .] ‘here is a democrat in this pre cinct, who is as sharp as razor. He has always voted the democratic ticket he says, I am willing ‘o ac knowledge that the republican princi pies are the best for a farmer it ena bles him to get a better price for his products. But he says they, the far mer, have not raised our wages one bit, and they do not intend to give us laboring men any benefit of it, so I will just vote the democrat ticket to down the farmer. What do you think of a man who would make such asser tions as that! It puts me in mind of the story where the man wanted to catch a preacher in disgrace, going a round-about way, saying he was the Son - - ——- the was after. So this man will vote the democratic ticket to catch farmer, saying they are the Son he is after.
