J. Bruns of Chicago. The cement contractor was the Beverly Construction Co., Chicago ; and Frank Kesman and Sons, Brookfield, were the masonry contractors, Fisher and Willms did the carpentry; the Erickson Plumbing co., plumbing; Continental Electrical Co., Chicago, electrical construction and Keller Heating Co., Chicago, heating contractor.The colors in the building are, for the most part pastel, pne deviation being the book store, where a variation of red predominates. The furniture and other appointments are modern.Other PlanBThf Pacific P i e s s building, formerlyTOceupied:-bythe Illinois Conference, will probably be enlarged. so it can accommodate the Inter-American division of the Seventh Day Adventists churches,, which have been located in Cristobal, Canal Zone.The Canal Zone presses, linos, and other printing equipment have been shipped to Brookfield, hence the need for more. extended working facilities in the Pacific Press building. The plant here, once the change has been made will be doing eight times the volume of business it is now doing, it is said.One of the big factors in change is the central midwest location of Brookfield, officials pointed out thisweek, together with advantages3nifrom a shipping standpoint. The Pacafic Press is one of the largest customers of the post office in this area.
