• Washington, D. C,—Technician Fifth Grade Ralph H. Light, Infantry, of Dillon, Montana, a member of Headquarters Company, has been promoted from the rank of private first class, it was announced at Headquarters, Army Ground Forces, General Joseph W. Stilwell, commanding general.Corporal Light is assigned to the Machine Records Branch, Adjutant General’s Section, Army War College.Born August 22, 1919, in Berkeley, Calif., Corporal Light is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lee R. Light of 537 South Dakota Street, Dil-I ion. He attended Beaverhead j County High School and the Uni-; versity of Iowa. In civilian life he was a tabulator operator.Corporal Light was inducted into the Army December 28, 1943 at Laconia, New Hampshire, assigned to the Adjutant General’s office and sent to Camp Lee, Virginia, for basic training.
