Aged Georgetown Resident FatallyInjured by CarThomas Wilsmith, aged about 60 of Georgetown, died in ..Guelph. General hospital, on Saturday night, as a result of injuries received when struck by a car, driven by Arkell R. Falconbridge, 217 Glasgow Street, Guelph. The accident occurred on the Gtielph-Toronto Highway, (between Acton and Georgetown, on Friday afternoon, about 4.30 o'clock, and, according to information, Wilsmith was standing in the centre of the road attempting to flag the car with a light-colored cap. The aged man suffered twobroken legs, and severe shock, . from■which he died after being admitted to the hospital. Mr. Falconbridge, when interviewed, stated that he had the impression first of seeing something run across the road, but upon nearing the object, saw Wilsmith standing in the centre of the road flagging the car with his cap. He stated he had no possible, chance to avoid hitting the man. Traffic, Officer Bert . Howell investigated. An1 inquest will be held in Acton next week.
