Mrs Gruening presided at the ceremony, which took place a-y the tablet erected two years ago on1 the site of the former British Legation. where the treaty was signed m 1817.Among those participating were Mrs. Hannah Clothier Hull, international president of the league, and Representative Nan Honeyman of Oregon, who was the principal speaker. Representatives were present from a number of international peace organizations and from the Canadian Legation and the State Department. There was music by the Navy Band.Is
