I., FRIE. lt;•» ** * ri*—*»* * * * »■Members of the Class of 1944 marched down the aisles of their high school last evening for the final time, following impressive Commencement exercises in the Andrews gymnasium, Tonight they will hold their reception and dance in Colt Memorial Hall and from then on they take their separate paths.The five members of the class who are already engaged in active duty with the armed forces are: Robert B. Brownell, U. S. Navy; DaVinci L. De-Luca, U, S. Navy; John Jason, Jr., U. S. Nav^r; Archie A. Pirri, U. S. Navy; and Vincent M. Securo, U. S. Marine Corps.Five members of the class who are already inducted into the armed forces and who will leave soon for training are : Domenic Campanella, U. S. Army; Norbert Costa, U. S, Marine Corps; William DiSalvo, U. S. Army; Lincoln B. Fiske, U. S Army; George Oliver, U. S. Navy.Roswell S. Bosworth, Jr and Harold W. Giffford, Jr. will leave for training with the Army Air Corps College Training Program at Massachusetts State College on July 5. Raymond F.Francis, a member of the Air Corps Enlisted Reserve, will enter active service the latter part of July.Ida Antonio has enlisted as a U S Cadet Nurse and Margaret Hibbert expects to do the same.In his address to the graduates. Dr. Harry E. Nugent, supervisor^ of adulteducation for the State of Rhode Island, declared that seldom if ever have more difficult decisions been handed over to youth to make for themselves as are being handed over today. “We of the past generation/’ he said, “arc handing them a state of affairs that confronts youth with the most difficult kind of problems. There is something pathetic in a graduation today. But as we look into the faces of these young people and see their determination to make good, we can feel confident that the future will rest in good hands/'arships with certain requirements and qualifications would act as a stimulus to the soldiers continuing with their education.Winners of the various awards were as follows:Walsh Memorial Medal—Pfc.
