LaFlamme moves upCTV acquires Global TV Ontario anchor, LaFlamme promoted from Canada AMTORONTO (CP) — Global TV's Toronto news anchor Beverly Thomson will switch to C I V in late August to join the on-air personalities at Canada AM, replacing Lisa LaFlamme who will then become the network’s national affairs correspondent,CTV News has confirmed.Global TV declined comment.Lisa loves hard news and itrs like her life, said CTV news president Robert Llurst. She will report from and fly to the biggest stories.”Thomson had served for several years as a reporter and weekend anchor at CTV Toronto affiliate CFTO, before moving to Global.“Bev Thomson has had a dream of cohosting Canada AM, Hurst said. “So we are offering her the ability to have her dreams come true.Thomson was diagnosed with breast cancer more than a year ago.
