HICKORY SPRINGS MECCA FOR MANY; REUNION IS HELDEntire Families From Several Parishes Gather For Annual EventHundreds of people assembled fitHickory Springs church yesterday tor the annual all-day services conducted by Rev. Hcarne of Chatham. This little church is located fifteen miles from the last named town and off the main highway. This fact provided no hindrance, however, for countless automobiles found the trail that leads to the place of worship situated in a dense grove of trees.Entire families turned out with their lunch baskets loaded down with good things to eat and after a rousing sermon delivered at 11 o’clock in the morning, the picnic lunch was enjoyed being spread on tables scattered in the shade of friendly trees.After all had feasted to their heart’s desire and a genuine get-together party had been enjoyed by many living in several parishes, the afternoon singing was conducted.Late in the day the people dispersed for their homes well pleased with the pleasures that had been afforded.
