Prededfrtg his appointment to Washington he was Mexican ambassador to Cuba, where he was for some time dean of the diplomatic corps. Their two daughters. Senorlta Adela Godoy and Senorita Mercedes Godoy, and their sons, Senor Francisco Godoy and Senor Julio Godoy, as well as Senor Jorge Godoy, make their home in Mexico City with their father.
