WEOLFrom Clnews broadcasts.* Will add traffic reports from Elyria and Lorain to Cleveland's west side.The station’s newscasts will be from 5 a m- to 7 P-m. unless a sports program starts earlier. The rest of the evening will be filled with sports programming.The radio station and The Chronicle-Teiegram are owned by the Lorain County Printing and Publishing Co.Whitmore said most listeners who have called in like the changes. Only a few have saidthey would rather hear the music, he said.There were a lot of people comfortable with the old WEOL, he said.Craig Adams, news director for the station, said the format change allows more local news to get on the air.T think each day, we're getting better at it, he said. We're doing so many local and national updates all day long.Adams said the new formatalso gives the younger members of the station’s news staff plenty of training for bigger stations,They are certainly getting a taste of serious news programming here, he said.
