Donald Ransberry received four kidney transplants from a donor who died, saving his life after severe kidney failure. The 61 year old man and a Toronto woman were recipients. Mrs. Ransberry says Donald hopes to resume plumber training and expects hospital release in three to five weeks. He had applied to a trades course days before hospitalisation.
Ottawa dispatch outlines Russell C Honey the Parliamentary Secretary to Jean Marchand touring the Atlantic Provinces this week. He signs a regional development agreement in Fredericton and visits Cosco Steel in Sydney and Cape Breton Development Corporation officials. They meet Halifax’s Atlantic Development Board before returning to Ottawa.
Darlington Township council will petition the minister of energy and resources to exclude part of the township from the Scugog Region Conservation Authority. The council argued the included portion is very small and the township would not benefit from membership in the proposed authority.
