Man and Woman Found On Roadside Near Cobourg
Bodies of a man Wallace Cunningham of Toronto and a woman were found in a ditch four miles west of Cobourg at daybreak on Wednesday. Police believe a double murder occurred and that both were shot through the heart. An autopsy will reveal revolver calibre. Cunningham lay beside his open limousine door, the woman about 30 nearby. Investigators were dispatched from Cobourg and Toronto as the scene was examined.

Mail Carriers Demand Pay By The Mile At Banquet

Butter Production Down In Durham County
Ontario creamery butter production fell in October 1942 from October 1941 by 3.4 percent with 6,963,400 pounds produced. Durham County output for October 1942 was 83,504 pounds, down from 95,401 a year earlier, while ten month totals show a drop from 876,034 to 830,686 pounds. Butter stocks in city of Toronto warehouses and in dairy factories across the province declined from October 1 to November 1, 1942.
