Port Perry Educator Honored with Royal Medal

Mr. Roy H. Cornish, principal of Port Perry Public School for 21 years, received a medal from Queen Elizabeth II in recognition of outstanding contributions to education and community welfare. Woman's Association November Meeting Highlights

The Woman's Association met on Tuesday with Mrs. E. R. Rainey presiding. The session opened with hymn and Lord's Prayer. Devotional by Mrs. Porter encouraged pressing on. They approved wedding catering plans and a Holstein Banquet in December. A nominating committee and planning visiting group were set. Gleanings from Presbyterial and United Church Training School were shared. a note of thanks was read.

Orono Orphans Open Season With Loss To Lindsay Entry

The Orono Orphans, playing at home, outshot Lindsay and dominated play but could not finish, losing 7 to 4.
