Orono Village Trustees Set Rural Fire Agreement and Road Plans
The Orono Village Trustees met in a special session to discuss a rural fire protection agreement extending services to township properties, set boundary lines and a fee structure including $5 base and $100 per call, plus a $1.50 inspection charge. They reviewed fire department pay scales, planned equipment and oil burner funding, and debated road and entrance maintenance with a possible third lane on the south approach.
