Orono Women’s Institute Picnics to Bobcaygeon
The Orono Women’s Institute held its annual picnic on Friday June 20 with 85 members traveling by bus to Bobcaygeon for a picnic dinner. Rev and Mrs Littlewood visited in the Park before their departure to Dundalk. On the return trip the bus paused in Lindsay for two hours for supper in the Park. The day was described as ideal with a happy group and pleasant scenery. Mr and Mrs Jim Rickaby and son Norman of Mimico spent the weekend with Mrs Harry Bailey’s family and purchased the house once owned by Mrs Emma Lunn, formerly owned by John Rickaby, grandfather of the buyer. Mrs Wm Riddell and Mrs Wm Cobbledick visited Peterborough on Tuesday.
