Orono Village to push 100000 plan for streets and sewers
Village officials led by Mr. Woodyard push a complete over 100000 project covering storm sewers paving curbing and Main Street from Mill Street to Tannery Hill. After subsidies local taxpayers would pay about 35000 with 2 to 214 mills annual levy over six years. They cite long term savings and note prior delays cost at least 50000. A meeting with businessmen and property owners will be held once the plan is refined.
