Four Lane Highway Planned Brockville to Quebec Border
The Ontario department of highways will start an 80 mile four lane controlled access highway from Brockville to the Quebec border at an estimated cost of 30 million dollars, to be completed in about three years. A further 7 million will relocate 35 miles of No 2 highway. The expressway will extend from Windsor to Quebec and total 542 miles.

The Orange Lodges of Kendal Newtonville and Orono attended a divine service at Orono United Church on Sunday. Rev John Kitchen delivered an inspiring address to the overflow congregation. Trustees Of S S No 12 Set Mill Rate At Eleven Mills
The S S No 12 Orono trustees met to discuss heating and set the mill rate at 11 mills a decrease of one from last year. Local owners in the section and village will be taxed 1.4 mills higher than last year while township properties in No 12 will see a 0.6 mill reduction.
