Orono Tennis Club Formed After Park Board Ad Call
A group of twelve formed the Orono Tennis Club on Tuesday evening following an Orono Park Board advertisement seeking local interest in the sport. Officers were elected led by R. Orono Talent Night Delights Capacity Town Hall Crowd
Orono Public School staged a two hour talent night at the Orono Town Hall last Thursday with full seating. The program featured a Junior Glee Club Cinderella, recitations by Blake Van den Heuvel and Janet Schoenmaker, piano solos by six players, a tumbling team, two humorous plays, and folk dancing by grades seven and eight. A musical duet by Kathy Middleton and Wayne Couvier, guitar with partners, and a pop guitar act closed the show as Mr. D Moffat praised staff efforts.
