A discussion on creating an integrated board to govern both primary and secondary education. It would replace separate public and high school boards, aiding coordinated programs and reducing curriculum differences for moving students. The board also reconsidered a prior refusal to sanction charter trips to Erpo ’67.
The Ontario Department of Education approved the excursions and will provide grants for students who participate during regular school days. The board allowed trips to be organized at the discretion of principals for students in grades 11, 12 and 13.
