Durham County Auction Helps Farmers Reach Markets
The Durham County Community Auction in Grand has proven a success since its start last year, moving over 200000 dollars in farm goods by February 1948. Regular sales feature livestock, harness, crops, and household items with bids led by auctioneer Jack Reid, assisted by Mrs. William Irwin and Fred Lytt, while buyers and sellers crowd the auction barns two to three days early.
