Mr John Kennedy of Manitoba visits friends in the area. Mrs J Johnston and son from Toronto stay with Mr and Mrs J Lindsay on 7th line. Mr and Mrs Iamond of Detroit and Mrs G Cutting of Windsor tour the home of Mr and Mrs A Bunie. Mrs J Lindsay leaves with a branch from a wild raspberry bush. First Class Teacher course now one year with six subjects English History two math subjects two sciences, expected to be popular. Plan changes reduce daily periods to allow more individual study and four subjects in year one and four in year two.
On Tuesday evening last week Miss Ethel Cunningham receiving a silver service and a church address from Norval Presbyterian Church members led by Mrs Timothy Eaton Reid. The message praised her Christian character and long service in Sabbath school choir and Woman’s Missionary Society. The gesture included speeches and a fine supper.

George Axnew of the Merchants Bank Hamilton spends holidays at home. Nancy Somerville and Ada visit Georgetown. Mrs Somerville enjoys the outing after a year at home. A Tennessee Baptist preacher trapped in a hollow log recalls not paying his local paper subscription and squeezes free as the log swells.
