Illuminated Street Signs Begin Next Week on Highway
The town will install illuminated street signs starting next week at No 7 Highway intersections and progress up Main Street from Maple Ave to Ontario. Signs from EW Bliss Co arrived this week and the new 24 inch square plastic signs with a black aluminum top are insect proof and offered in white or yellow.

Esquesing GP rooms used as classrooms in two schools
At last week’s Esquesing School Board meeting it was revealed that the general purpose rooms at Limehouse and Glen Williams schools, built as modified gymnasiums, are already serving as classrooms. A second-grade class will move into Limehouse’s general room, while Glen Williams will host a grade four from Pineview School taught by Mrs House. Hodgson will teach Grade Six at Pineview School.

Papernill Engineer Dies During Ottawa Trip
Treff Joseph Imbleau aged 72, formerly with Provincial Paper and later with the Kennedy firm, died September 10 in Belleville Hospital after illness on a stopover en route from St. Catharines to Ottawa for a wedding. Born in Renfrew and Queen’s University chemical engineering graduate, he lived in St. Catharines and later Owen Sound while travelling to install machinery abroad. He is survived by his wife, a daughter Mary, Richard Crane of Victoria, B C, and several siblings.
