Hester Mary Harsicock widow of Septimus Thompson died at home in Esqueesing on Tuesday October 22 after a short illness at age 27. She was a daughter of Frederick Hancock and leaves three young children and many friends.

Pro Lt Green of Georgetown Ontario died of pneumonia on October 21 1918 at Bovington Military Hospital England in his 20th year. He attended Toronto University before joining the International Canadian Yank Battalion and was the eldest son of A G Green principal of Georgetown Public School. He was a bright student and active in the Methodist Sunday School viewed with deep community sympathy for the Green family.
