Edward L. Greensword Dies at 63
Funeral services were held today for Edward L Greensword of Norval, who died Sunday October 6 in his 64th year. Born on the family farm to Edward L Greensword and Isabella Orr, he farmed most of his life and served as secretary treasurer of the Norval Public School Board for six years. He married Jean Pollock nine years ago and is survived by two sisters, Mary and Stella, of Toronto. Rev K E Dunlop conducted the service. Interment at Hillcrest.

Mrs. Alex Lawson Dies in Esquesing
Mary Ann Scott, wife of Alexander Lawson, died at her Esquesing home after a paralytic stroke five months earlier. Born near Lumehouse she lived forty two years in the area. She belonged to E Pul's United Church Milton. Funeral by Rev. J. B. Moore with interment at Evergreen Milton. Survived by husband two sons a daughter and six grandchildren William Windsor David Esquesing and Mrs Russell King Hornby.

Heldmann Leaves Georgetown High for Air Force Duty
H J Heldmann a Georgetown High School staff member, joins the Royal Canadian Air Force and departs Thursday for training in Lachine Quebec. A graduate of the University of Western Ontario and Columbia University, he taught at the school eleven years and led extracurriculars including rugby and Cadet Corps. The staff and students presented him with an Air Force money belt and writing pad as a token of appreciation. He urges pupils to perform their duties diligently during wartime.
