Caution urged after dog pick up dispute at Oakville council
An Oakville council meeting heard an irate citizen complain after a spaniel owned by his daughter was picked up by the town dog catcher. Police corroborated claims a dog catcher enticed the animal toward the wagon. Councillors asked the Humane Society to refund the $2 fine and compensate the owner, while condemning no fault in the dog. The town also discussed a tree trimming program, town engineer applications, and purchasing debentures for Georgetown's new $180,000 public school.

McClure Funeral Home Georgetown. He was an Orangeman and Black Knight veteran born in Brighton township in 187? moved to Georgetown in 1910. He married Sarah McCartney in 1912.
