Former Terra Cotta Couple Celebrates 50 Years
Mr and Mrs J Lorne Craine of Terra Cotta marked their fiftieth wedding anniversary with a family gathering. The couple married Oct 14 and moved to Terra YN in 1940, where Mr Craine worked with Yohs Inglis Co and with Goodyear Tire. Mrs Craine was Martha Dawson.

Five Hundred Young Vendors in 30th Apple Day
About 800 boys served as Apple Day vendors in Georgetown and district Friday and Saturday. They raised 395 dollars in gross sales with expenses including 50 bushels of apples. Net profit funded local Scouting activities and will be split among local troops.

Georgetown buys the former Cedarvale School property at Mala and Maple for 80 000 dollars as a centennial project. Registration is down at the Georgetown Figure Skating Club. President C I E Johnson says 75 have registered this year, well below the 100 plus in past years. No seniors and only six adults in the Intermediate class, with juniors and preschool children making up most of the group. Ice time runs 3 PM to 10 PM each Monday, with Marilys Barber and Gail Livingstone teaching.
