County CCFers Meet at Stan Allen Home
The Malton CCF association held its first meeting of the season on October 12 at Stan Allen’s River Drive home. Mrs. Marjorie Pinney outlined a plan for future organization and a report on the last provincial election where Mr. Allen was the party candidate. Plans for a Christmas party were discussed and attendees shared sandwiches and coffee provided by Mrs. Allen.

Georgetown council approved a building permit for a 13 unit apartment on Prince Charles Drive by Romania Bros. Construction. Roy Warwick protested the plan near his home saying no knowledge of apartments was given and there are few play areas for children. Mayor Armstrong and Dr. Hewson said zoning bylaws are not yet in force, so no action can block the project. a planning board and bylaw come later.
