A Friday night dance by Smith & Stone employees in Brampton drew many youths at the Arena to raise funds for the Active Service Fund. Russ Creighton and his Orchestra from Toronto provided music while prize draws added excitement. Prizes included a compact and a Ronson lighter. Winners were Miss Dorothy Post and Don Cation for the compact and Ken Davidson for the flashlight. About $80 was added to the Active Service Fund and $13 from the booth went to the Georgetown Red Cross Society.
