Drowning ruled accidental at Waterfalls Playground inquiry
A five man coroner’s jury found death at Waterfalls Playground a drowning with no signs of foul play. The Sacre Coeur Recreation Hall behind the church on Guelph Street near John Street will open mid November. The 80 by 55 foot building will be a gym, recreation and banquet hall with full kitchen cloaks washrooms and showers and small club rooms. Parking has been expanded behind the church to accommodate a 180 person banquet hall capacity. The $35,000 structure is supervised by Father Andre Simard who oversees all subcontracting.

Two Streetsville men were injured when their small car flipped onto its side and skidded across Highway 1 opposite the Hyland Avenue corner in Moore Park early Sunday morning.

The Newfoundland group expands from ten members to a thriving 45 with an executive including Nis The car was eastbound on the Millie Porter. Wes. Brite Fitz. highway and had just entered Patrick, and Sam Farrar, the town's western limits when the driver lost control. The car swerved and left its wheels injuring driver Jeffrey Doherty with bruises and a possible concussion and Gilbert Lange with cuts and back injuries. They were taken to hospital in a Georgetown police cruiser. Damages were about 800 dollars. A second collision on Gueph Street caused 900 dollars in damage to cars driven by James K. Asquith and Ford Tremain.

Four Die In Three District Accidents This Week
Ontario police report four deaths from three motor accidents across the district. An elderly woman died on No 17 Sideroad near Georgetown. At Hornby on Monday two men, Hogob Garabian and Ares Shalan of Kitchener, were killed when a late model car overturned after skidding. A fourth victim, 81 year old Wrabel Gould of Toronto, died in a two car crash near the Chinguacousy intersection. Other drivers suffered injuries but were not seriously hurt. The total damage was about 3500 dollars.

Night School Courses Reduced From Seventy to Nineteen
Due to low registration only 19 of the 70 night school courses will operate starting October 6. Grade 13 English at Milton High School remains, with Georgetown and Milton pooling classes. Three commercial courses and two technical offerings survive, and women’s fitness courses persist while men’s are dropped. Rug hooking may proceed with a shortened 10 week term.
