A 1955 Buick carrying workmen to Malton skidded on a light snowfall on Highway No 7. Kalvin Breen of Acton lost control near western town limits and the car rolled into a ditch. Irwin Noble announced at a Monday council meeting that he would not seek re election for the 1957 term. He cited work pressures and hoped to return to council when time permits. Accident Sends Man to Hospital in City Intersection Crash
Jack Livingstone, 1 Main St North, was rushed to Guelph General Hospital after a collision with Allen Ingles at the Guelph and Water Streets junction. Roy Smith returning a car to its owner was southbound on 9th Line when Mrs Spencer Wilson driving from a laneway into his path could not stop in time. No injuries were reported.
