Western missions society marks 85th anniversary pageant
The west described teaching in open schools kept staffed by the WMS. She urged younger church groups to engage in missions and called for support from ladies. Leaders at home and missionaries abroad are needed and must be sent. A pageant celebrated the Society’s 85th anniversary. Mrs. C Sinclair gave thanks, then refreshments and a social hour closed the meeting.

Town Council Minutes Highlight Annexation and Public Works
On Monday November 21 the council debated annexing part of Beckett survey land, discussed waste from Alliance paper mill and sewer needs, and considered filter beds. They approved water rate adjustments, tree removal on Caroline Street, and contractor payment issues with Scott Jackson Construction. Exit lights at Old Town Hall were installed and a wartime septic tank move was authorized. Approximately 220 meters of sewer work remained for year end completion.
