The November Meeting of the Arts and Crafts of Georgetown met at Mrs S W Orr's home on November 1 1964 with 27 present. Plans for the Exhibition at the Legion Hall included demonstrations in vine weaving spinning leather and shell work. Mrs Orr and co hosts served afternoon tea and the group enjoyed a pleasant hour. The next meeting will be at Miss Marjorie Mackenzie's home.

The Knox W M S Missionary Society held its annual Thank Offering in the church basement last Wednesday afternoon despite bad weather. Mrs O Hunter and Mrs J L Self of Norval led the worship. Mrs F Dean, Girls' organization secretary for Toronto Presbyterial, gave the main address recounting India missions and life there. Francis Thompson provided two solos with Hazen Graham on piano as others offered remarks. A prayer closed the program followed by lunch and social hour.

Funeral service held for Gary Burt in Hillsburgh church
Funeral services were held Thursday at Hillsburgh Baptist Church for Gary Charles Burt fourteen months old. Rev L F ONeil led the ceremony as Ruth Hall and Frances Gray sang When He Cometh. Pallbearers included David and Dennis Smith and John A Roszell. Interment followed in Coningsby Cemetery. The baby died after boiling water injuries suffered in Toronto Sick Children's Hospital. He was the grandson of Mr and Mrs Frank Smith of Ballinfad.

Last Wednesday morning at the Public School a service of remembrance for war dead was held in the assembly room. Mrs. T. F. Grieve handed out poppies and Leyton zone representative Fred McCartney read the names of former students who died in the World Wars, listing dozens of veterans from 1914 to 1945.
