Armistice Anniversary Service Recalls Heroes at Acton
The 19th Armistice Anniversary service at Acton honored Canadian veterans from Acton under Lt-Col G O Brownheed who gave their lives for home and country. Rev G W Holmes read scripture, Rev P F Overend led prayers, and the Acton Citizens' Band accompanied hymns. The Honor Roll was read, an Armistice address given, Last Post sounded, two minutes silence kept, Reveille sung, and the National Anthem closed the service.
