Benefit Dance Supports Ailing Neighbour In Georgetown
A November 9 benefit dance in the Rose Room drew a large Georgetown crowd to aid Fred Anthony who has been ill for over a year after a serious operation. The event organized by friends of the ailing man raised 250 dollars with an orchestra led by Mrs. George Glassford featuring musicians from Georgetown Norval and Waldemar. Club Midtown members sacrificed an evening to help and attended in force.

Hungarian Relief Fund Starts Here
The nation Red Cross collection for Hungary relief opened with Mr. and Mrs. John Cordaro contributing five dollars, matched by the Herald. Further gifts may be sent to the Herald office or to Mrs. R. T. Paul, local Red Cross treasurer, for forwarding to Toronto. The Red Cross says funds will aid medical supplies clothing and food for revolt ravaged Hungary.

The W A of St George s held its annual Christmas Tea for the Little Helpers in the Sunday School room on Thursday afternoon November 8. Children under seven years attended with their mothers as Mrs Thomas Warnes the Little Helpers superintendent welcomed them and handed out gifts. Two Car Collision Sends Family to Hospital Near Hamilton
A Georgetown woman and her two children were injured in a two car crash on No. 5 Highway six miles west of Hamilton. Roman Hladysh pulled out to pass a transport as Fred McKay of London skidded onto the highway. Mrs Hladysh suffered leg injuries while sons Dennis and Kenneth suffered a fractured arm and skull respectively. The other passengers were later released. Mr Hladysh and McKay received minor injuries. Mr Hladysh lives at 49 Main St. L and works at Barra ger's Cleaners.

Bill Bingham of Terra Cotta starred for the Hamilton Bees as they contest the Dominion intermediate football title in Fort William against the Fort William Redskins. He led league scoring with 68 points and sparked the Bees to a 216 victory over the Greenwood Royal Canadian Air Force Bombers in Halifax to clinch the Eastern Canada title. He previously scored two touchdowns in Hamilton league playoffs and had stints with the Tiger-Cats before joining the Bees. He is the son of William J.
